Anyone was wasn't there to witness ----- this guy literally got the entire stadium into a frenzy. People loved that and cheered loud and long. We won alot of ballgames in the late innings during that time and no doubt, many were because of the fan involvement. Those were GREAT times. I don't know of a single other franchise that had a person who could do this.
The way the fans are rowdy now at Ravens games........well they did this at the Oriole games once upon a time.
i played online golf with wild bill on soaring eagles golf team links 2003

Wild Bill Hagy was my cousin. Unfortunately, I hadn't seen him since a family reunion in the early 80s. Thanks for this!

Wild Bill Hagy passed away on my birthday.
I'm proud to have a special connection with a man who made me love the Orioles more than I ever knew I could.

Just saw where Pat Santerone (O's Groundskeeper -- famous for Tomato plants with Earl Weaver) passed away this spring....
Live in Philly -- Followed the O's since I was a kid -- what a time from '66 thru 83....RIP Wild Bill, Pat, Elrod.....etc.....
