i like the DB better. I may be biased tho', being the owner of one. The thing just sounds excellent.

Perfect video. Used a looper to to make it fair and double mikes. Every a/b video should be this long ,clear , barefoot free.
I liked the 65 custom myself. Thanks for posting.

Just got ahold of a DB...and even though I'm a "fender-Man" through through, that Peavey really DOES have a bluesy, smoky, slightly driven-but-smooth-crispy-but-m
ellow-jazzbox-on-steroids- sound! I LOVE it! (Thinking about getting it "redone" in a custom brown with creme grillcloth setup....just to give it a different look from everyone else's! :o) -
Very well said!! I find the 30 a challenge to get good sounds from myself, but perhaps I have a tin ear. Anyway, been playing and loving Fender for forty years, so what does one expect?? I can't bring myself to sell the Peavey though. Something about it--just like you say . . .

Nice job.
Peavey=Blues players delight.
Fender=All around amp (World-class reverb, trem, ok vibrato). Better platform for pedals? I have to play a lot of different styles and techniques. Fender wins.
If I were just playing Blues in jams, sessions or live, I might pick the Peavey over the Fender.

I opted for the Fender (after trying them both). The Peavey's tubes rattled, even with
that tube tamer thing! I found that if you turn the Peavey up or down past 4, it either
gets squishy, or distorts too much. This demo shows (exactly) the only decent
sound the Peavey gets. For any other application, go with the Fender. It's hands down
more articulate and versatile.

the twin 15 is supposed to have "clean precise" tones
"extra-fat clear bottom end", & "smooth treble"
it isnt supposed to distort at all?
of course i coulda also told you that
without quoting fenders site

Forgot to mention--some nice playing ! Plus I use mine with 2 custom guitars-a Strat-O-Bastard--that I built--and a completely designed and built for me BLUES guitar--both with custom 1-3/4 nut necks and DiMarzio custom wound pups--S/S on the Strat and Hums on the other--but wired so I can split the hums.

Sorry guys the Fender sounds okay--but lacks the " snot "--the El 84 tubes break up when picked hard and stay clean when you pick lighter --or softer. I toured with Fender back in the 70's and currently because of all the problems I have had with Fender amps--more than one --I switched to Peavey--especially for playin' the blues --even classic rock stuff. The Peavey is an absolute workhorse--just keeps on. My one DeVille ( I had 3 ) was repaired 3 times in less than 2 yrs.
While the Fender DOES have a more bluesy-type sound, to my ears the Delta Blues has more....hmmmmm....I guess you'd call it "Mojo"?....it sounds like it's been soaked in about 3 or 4 years of hard times, bad luck, and heartbreak,.. and then rinsed with bourbon & scotch!
