Stuffed Jalapenos

Recipe originally found on thepioneerwoman's website, upon recommendation from one Ythan at the Shroomery. Hot damn delicious is what I say! Sound credit to Melvin Seals and the JGB.

would this still work with turkey bacon and light cream cheese?

Light cream cheese, for sure. Turkey bacon, well, I wouldn't personally recommend it as it's probably going to lack some of the crunch (not to mention flavor) that the real deal master pork bacon provides. It will work to be sure, but on both flavor and texture? Likely to fall a smidgen short. Then again, if you never try the baconation, I suppose that you won't be missing anything! ;)

If you're a fan of the JGB, I might note that Dark Star Orchestra will be featuring Stu Allen (the "Jerry" of the current iteration of Melvin Seals & JGB) as their lead guitar for the west coast leg of their ongoing tour! I'm trying to hit the Ashland Armory in Oregon, as well as the Los Angeles and Solana Beach shows this April. :)
