This week, the UN's largest ever conference on the environment will convene in Brazil.
More than 130 leaders will be in Rio de Janeiro to discuss the threats from climate change.
Brazil is facing it's own environmental concerns, especially when it comes to deforestation in the Amazon.
Al Jazeera's Gabriel Elizondo reports from Manaus.

The fact that you think that studying lifeforms that live their entire life in an ecosystem to monitor changes IN that ecosystem is 'stupd' demonstraites your inability to understand this topic. I guess that leaves me no choice but to find references that have pretty pictures and colourful graphs to make it easier for you, so give me some time to find them. While I am doing that give my YOUR references...I did ask first.
...'unrelated variables'...really?

By the way the measurement of pH is done on the living things IN the ocean NOT on the ocean itself. Such as coral reef, seaweed, fish, and crustations, these are all things that are found in different parts and in depths of the ocean. As well scientists have been observing these creatures for years. And I would gladly give references to a few sites. Again please send references to disprove all of this.

Well done you are finally replying like a normal person. And I would love to see these references so I can read this myself. And my failure to stay on track? Perhaps because of the immature to semi-psychotic replys I read from you 1/2 of the time. And you expected me to take you seriously then? No.

Yes you've copied a few sentances from your highschool textbooks that is easy to see. And no counter argument for your 'arguments'? Oh my. You state your questions way to ackwardly. And you expect an answer? How about you look back (as I have) at the 'arguments' that have so much 'hard' scientific fact. And restate them in a language that you would put in a sentance as if you are speaking normally...not as if reading from a textbook. Do this and YOUR arguments will be at the college level.

Your right it's not a debate I was simply using that as an example to what it is like reading your replys. Oh and I haven't made a single coherent counter argument? Come on man it because you just don't care to understand facts or evidence of the science you are arguing against.

Sorry taxing trees was someone else, however it sounds like something you'd say. And there you go losing your temper again, why? Because I'm retarded? No. Do you lose your temper because I don't do your bidding such as regurgitate a graph? Maybe. Do I have to take time and explain basic concepts to you? No. Your largley violent reaction to my responses make me believe you are compensating for something else...hmm?

Ya know this is beginning to feel like a debate between athiests and religous people. Athiests believe in facts and evidence: science.
Religous people believe in faith: I feel God is real.
You religously believe your assumptions about science enough to believe they are facts. U say whatever comes to mind and 'feels' right about whatever topic. I'm afraid science doesn't work that way. Until u come to that understanding debating anything scientific is a waist of time.

Yet another great t-shirt idea bb309: What facts? Tax the trees, and my fav Who are the guys resposible for melting the ice after the ice age...priceless. I can see u and yr buddies wearing these and street high fiving each other. And you want me to put some time and effort to 'regurgitate' an accurate graph of temp fluctuations for u? No thanks. You ALREADY believe that such a thing cannot be done when in FACT you are just making an ASSUMPTION without looking for any EVIDENCE yourself!

People whom have a set of beliefs and ideals that don't care about facts or evidence would love to buy your shirt and wear it proudly. Who knows you might even flabbergast a few hippies. Again so nice to hear from you bb309. Tah tah.
