Really appreciate seeing this. It's always cool to see stuff you recognize on youtube! I've been by those mills (3 and 5) several times over the years, hauling logs, rock, and equipment.

Wow, thanks for this. I didn't expect the log bunks to have such a totally different sound to most freight cars. I guess they don't have any bodywork to "drum".

This is in Washington state, in the South Puget Sound - Olympic Peninsula area. This sight will not occur again as heavy rains this past December have damaged sections of the roadbed beyond repair. The railroad will no longer operate out of the downtown Shelton area.

Yes, I hear it's the last logging railroad operation in the U.S. It currently operates from Shelton to the Dayton Dry Sort Yard, 10.5 miles.
