September 21st is Coming!! Are You Ready?

The UN Day of Peace is September 21st! Partners will put on the first ever 24 Hour Global Broadcast dedicated to Peace Day material which can be previewed at http://www.peaceday2009.org, and streamed live on Peace Day at www.getzooks.biz, www.peaceportal.mobi, other co-sponsor website channels of Co-Sponsors.

Unity Foundation has been working over 30 years in Peace Building activities;

GetZooks has a plan for revitalizing communities around the globe through leveraging technology to increase jobs, local businesses sales, and support local charities, schools, & faith associations.

Culture of Peace Initiative (CPI) is a co-operative Peacebuilding Initiative to unite the strengths of existing organizations, projects and peoples in building a Culture of Peace for future generations. CPI serves as a vehicle for bringing to light the previously unseen and unheard Peacebuilders working towards Peace along diverse pathways.

Established in 1983, CPI enables global Peacebuilders to instantly network, share inspiration, discuss ideas, and collaborate on projects and events. Working in partnership with the United Nations, non-governmental organizations, local communities, grassroots organizers, and individuals, CPI unites our voices into a powerful worldwide movement for peace.

PEACE DAY will highlight the vitally important work of organizations and individuals around the world dedicated to creating a more peaceful, just and sustainable world. For 24-hours the Internet will be utilized for the highest good - To promote the positive, innovative and solution oriented work of these organizations and individuals for the purpose of inspiring and empowering the world's peoples to take concerted action to create a better world for present and future generations. The program will feature the work of large international organizations, small community groups and individuals in villages around the globe. In many cases this will be the first time these groups and individuals have ever been given international attention.
