recorded 9/26/1927 vocal by Franklyn Baur

Jacques RENARD (born Jacob Stavinski in Kiev, Russia). He was raised in Massachusetts and trained as a classical violinist. Instead of joining the symphony, however, Jacques started his own dance band which became very successful in the Boston area during the late 1920s. In this time he also performed in Los Angeles famous Ambassador Hotel's Coconut Grove ballroom. During the 1930s, he focused much of his attention on network radio appearances.
