THE NEXT Great App from KORG! Emulation of their classic MS20 synth from 1978, used by many top electronica bands over the last 32 years. (Also reincarnated in the KORG Legacy Collection, and Nintendo DS10 + !) Multitouch makes this the most synth you can get in the world of "virtual knobs".

  • The drums sound like basic toy drums. I wanted something to compliment nano studio and also BM2. ( updated iPad version )

  • @zellymusic The drums are fully editable - you can improve them however you like? Also try iElectribe R for drum synthesis, obviously.

  • i got this for my nintendo ds and its awesome, its gonna be the reason for me to finnaly get an ipad2

  • @b1gbudda me too. ;-) you'll find it very worthwhile for this and many other apps. ohm!

  • This looks pretty awesome a bit like fruity loops and it's really cheap!

  • @lolatu666 you are right. also like a lite version of Reason - very powerful virtual synth for this mini computer. And now, you can even CONTROL IT BY MIDI, as if it's an actual groovebox! (using digital camera connection kit and a usb midi plug - see manual)

  • @OdinoMarco But does your real KORG fit in your laptop bag? ;-) Harsh critique here - but a lot of the 1980's, 90's and onward is also made with this type of gear. You have a point about it being a recreation of an old synth, though it is a quite nice one, especially for a portable device, and at this price range! (If you think it's "pure noise", why do you own a real KORG, may I ask?) There are a bunch of other iPad apps out there that do brand NEW things to try also!

  • @EYEM2L8 Most do not share your opinion. ;-) Note that this has been a top selling audio app ever since it's release, and with good reason.

  • i love this synth, one of my faves for the ipad

just love how deep it is!

for those synth snobs hating on the sound - seriously? the cost to awesomeness ratio on this thing is huge, probably better than the synths you are comparing it against

  • this thing is wow wow wow. Watch watch?v=hJSyPW4BFgo

  • very cool demonstration; as allways :-)

  • What's so hot about making cheesy music ? The sound are not impressive as the interface.

  • One thing to remind people is IT"S ONLY 15 BUCKS!!! Yes, we can all own super cool synths with the IPad.

Add a M-audio Keyrig 49 midi controller(keyboard to the MKS-20) and you are in business..

a true satellite workhorse synth to supplement your desktop workstation. The M-audio keyboard even gets it's power right from the Ipad usb connection(camera kit) so it's very handy and portable for all of your app softsynths. A you can see, I'm a fan.
