@AGStyle1997 Anybody "might be," but North Korea quite obviously developed the weapons as a deterrent to anybody who might want to invade them and Iran is surely doing the same. Iran is constantly under the threat of an American invasion and North Korea has demonstrated that nukes mean impunity so why wouldn't the Iranians want nukes? It's a game of chicken; Iran is banking on the US being afraid or unable to wage another war. If they're gonna go nuclear now is the time.

Actually, Kennedy stopped the nuclear destruction in the US when Russia had Nuclear Bombs in Cuba. So actually leaders can talk to each other.

Missile defense is a dangerous idea. It encourages the proliferation of nukes because the way to breach it would be with an overwhelming number of nukes. It is actually an OFFENSIVE weapon, in the same way that nukes are a DEFENSIVE weapon. Nobody is developing nukes to use them, they develop nukes so that they won't be attacked, we all know that. A working missile defense system would allow the US to attack countries that have developed nukes basically so the US won't attack them!
