That's gotta ruin your confidence a bit eh?
-
@Resurectionofshawn Yeah, but realistically I don't know the details about the accident so I can't comment much about that.
-
@MrSlowestD16 yea true it does depend on the rider cause if he was smart he would have known how to corner properly by looking past the mirror on the side of the turn keeping the bike up and more stable and that new tires are slick and need to be broken in and warm.

hey, I'll bet it was fun up till then....

@Resurectionofshawn Eh, it's how you use it IMO. I like my R1. I wouldn't call it "death oh wheels" - it's only as stupid as the rider.
I'm not sure why people assume that liter bikes only have two throttle positions, WOT and closed. I manage my throttle nicely, I am very aware of the power it can deliver, and I haven't had any fuck-ups yet. It's all about keeping it in the back of your head how quickly this thing can fuck you up, IMO.

@BryanDavison No new person should be going to a dealership for their first bike...in all liklihood, the thing IS GOING TO tip over. Whether it's the person falls, or it's a standing tip, whatever. Somebody shouldn't be learning on a new bike.
-
@BryanDavison I agree with that I have been ridding street for 5 years and offroad for around 6 and I won't even touch 1000cc sportbike thats death on wheels lol.

It really ticks me off when dealerships sell newbs 1000cc crotch rockets as their first bike. If you've never ridden a motorcycle before, you've got no business on a 1000cc bike...PERIOD.
