a friend of mine was shot with a 22 short in the knee back in 1985, till this day he still limps..another friend of mine was shot in the face with a 9mm at point blank range..beside the small scar that the 9mm made under his eye (point of entry) you could never tell he had been shot unless he told you..friend shot with 22 short..well noticeable limp..don't underestimate any caliber weapon, it could be your first and last mistake..

my NA 22 short cylinder has frozen up! I'm going to attempt taking apart it but I'm sure NMA has a lifetime warranty on these.

@Transatlanticism1000 Well normally I defend the .22 as a viable (if less than ideal) defensive load, but that fact that you were shot in the chest and are typing about it isn't a great selling point. Hurts a lot isn't the effect most shooters are going for; kills a lot is.

I got to shoot one of the widows last Saturday. The gun was older (at least 10 years) so they may have improved since then, but the grip was square and uncomfortable, and the trigger weight had to be upwards of 12 lbs.

I was shot in the chest by the 22long version. I laugh when people laugh at the size of the gun. They have no idea how much it really hurts to be hit by it.

I carried a MINI .22Mag with the 1 5/8" barrel when I was a cab driver, & then when I ran my restaurants. Semi-retired, I sold it for what I paid for it. MY BAD. I missed it so much, I just ordered a new one. I have other so-called sub-compacts for CCW, but they are all too large when dressing light & I find I tend to leave them home more than carry them. THESE NAA guns are good to go no matter what you're wearing, and as I did before, I will soon once again never leave home without it.

Nice informative video. Good to know why its not good too shoot 22lrs out of a 22 magnum gun. Thanks.
Really like the NAA revolver. I've been wanting one for a long time, and since I'm turning 21 in a few days I think I'll have to pick one of these up soon. Just trying to decide between the Black Widow and the standard Magnum. If I got the BW, I would definitely pick up a set of the wood boot grips from the NAA site. The stock grips would be super-comfortable but don't lend well to (backup) carry. Good video, I appreciated the comparison.

@RevolverPhantom
I am no fan of the look of the oversized rubber ones, but they are super comfortable and really aren't too bad in the pocket and are easy enough to draw with

When the hammer is set in to the safety notch do you have to set it back on to the bullet to shoot or will the cylinder move in to place on it's own?
damachofrmBC 8 months ago
@damachofrmBC
these are single action, so the shooter needs to pull the hammer back each time
GunWebsites 8 months ago
@GunWebsites I believe what damachofrmBC was trying to ask was if you have the hammer on the "saftey" notch, then cock the hammer does the cylinder rotate into alignment with the next round or does it then have to be rolled manually from the next notch?
Not sure if that clarified the question but it was what I was curious to know myself. Thanks for the vids!

@PatriotTNPr
Yes, single actions work as you say. When the hammer is pulled the cylinder rotates. Don't matter if it is starting from a live chamber or the safety notch
