I kind of understand the whole self mutalation thing though... I think passion and absolute rage go hand in hand as the extreme feelings of a person so how do you pull passion like that out with your voice? Feel the next strongest thing.
This being said, I love Kyo and am glad he quit hurting himself but I CAN understand it.

Every time an interview takes place and an interviewer says "you're jrock/ visual kei/ jmetal" they disagree and say "we are just rock / metal". They USED to be visual kei before they began touring internationally and discarded the costumes. Look, my point in this is I find it somewhat offensive to put them in one of those categories because no one said the Beatles were b-rock or Aerosmith was a-rock. Their nationality should have little to do with the category of music they play
