  • I must date these two cougars!!

  • Mazda mxed this car out from factory pretty much. to attain quick turbo response.

its a K04. maybe you want to go take a look at how small our turbos are. they are TINY

it is not 8 its 15.6. maybe you are referencing the limited boost in 1st around 8-9psi and 2nd 9-11 psi

from 3rd one its at max boost. 15.6

obviously you arent reading close enough

  • right, obviously you know best. Forget professional drivers that actually run the tests, sycomantz knows everything. You know what Im tired of arguing about cars because if you really knew about cars you'd know that it's the driver not the car. You take your ms3 tougeing with me and my friends and see if you can keep up. We'll drift circles around you.

  • you know you're right...obviously. I cannot possible be right after all my only source was Mazda and Ford. Oh, but wait, except that the MAXIMUM attainable boost is 15.6psi while stock is around 8. and i've driven a car with 15 lbs of boost? You realize how strong your turbo would have to be to sustain constant boosts at that high of a level? Aftermarket ball bearing turbos can sustain it but the small turbo in the ms3 can't. It'd blow the manifold and the snail after the first month.

  • they are conservative fool. they are never inflated. the times posted in mags are always on the high side. do you know why? a b/c they arent going to go out there and keep doing runs to try and perfect it.

b/c then its not realistic. they posted numbers thats a decent driver should be able to post by giving the car a few tries and post the best numbers achieved out of those couple runs

in the hands of consumers the numbers always get lower b/c we have the time to perfect or try

  • oh yea, and psychomouse or whatever your name is magazine, and independent review numbers for 0-60 and 1/4 times are actually liberal, not conservative. They're all tested by professional drivers hired to run the car 10-20 times and then use the best times as performance measurements. We have a racing school up here that talks about that maybe you should attend.

  • listenman. i own a 09 MS3. dont try and tell me what the car runs. they are both 15.6psi. actaully the MS6 may have slighty higher boost since its putting out 270ish hp compared to our 263hp.

you may want to educate yourself befor eyou start talking like a GURU... you are flat wrong.

the DISI motor is boosting 15.6psi miniminum.

obviously you arent referencing any manufact. stats b/c you are wrong

i have no probs with stock or lightly modded stis or evos. fuck a wrx

  • first i've dragged and drifted sti's...in order to launch PROPERLY in an AWD you have to blip the throttle to maintain boost...if you don't do that, you experience one of two things...turbo lag, or if you have too much throttle; wheel hop. and no the zo6 does not hit 10's stock with the "right driver". the zr1 doesn't even do 10's. lastly, RWD's aren't "easier" to launch...RWD's just have the advantage because of the weight distribution...i suggest you actually do your research.

  • what planet are you from. NO its not harder to launch an AWD compared to a FWD.

its not "easy" to launch an AWD b/c you have to know what you are doing but launching an AWD is easier than launching a RWD and RWD is easier to launch than FWD.

magazine numbers are always conservative compared to real world driving numbers. stop mag racing so much.

its the same reason that mags will post 12's or 13's for something like a C6 ZO6 but actaully the car can hit 10's with the right driver

  • you are clearly disillusioned..first for the ms3 to run stock boost at 15.6 lbs it wouldn't make the MS3 as "fuel efficient" as they claim, smaller turbo's can't run higher boosts, and according to the manufacture stock boost for ms3's are the same as ms6 and that's 8-9
