  • Credit where credit is due.

Check out the dude on the orange bike, black helmet, Blue and white skin suit

He is in a good a position to place 3rd or 4th (on the wheel of the North Sydney rider) but you actually see him turn his head to see George in trouble. He then quickly and smoothly backs out and heads up the track to be out of the way when George finally goes fully pear shaped.

  • Man, that guy is very lucky he didn't pull that stunt when I was racing track! Back in the day, he would have gotten his ass kicked! Track racing is for real racers, not poseurs like this 'guy". Yikes!

  • ok so ,i hear this was c grade racing ,but that guy should not have been on a track,he saw the guy in front of him slowing on the back straight and straight out shit himself ,he easily could have caused a large mess..go back to a flat track ,get some skill, then come back...no sooner

  • Nice to know

  • Excellent advice, it appears as though he did sit up and attempt to stop pedaling and that is

one of his bad decisions. For sure I've seen a few other incidents where a rider was able to

get back on the track in a much better fashion than he did but thankfully it hasn't happened to me yet at Dunc Gray.

  • The trick to be able to manage something like that is to be as smooth as you can, this means do not attempt to stop pedalling and don't try to slow down, just keep your legs moving smoothly and don't try to turn suddenly when your on the duckboards or apron, think of the bottom of the track as a wet bit of road.

  • I had to take evasive manoeuvres to avoid a fall above me and in front at high speed on the duckboards in the middle of the bend at DGV in a points race a few years ago, somehow my tyres (Pista EVO CS singles) managed to grip and I was able to ride around the fallen riders and get back onto the track without going up the bank like that guy did.

  • Not at this stage he apparently got a good talking to about it and a official warning however.

  • Licence suspended for a few months?!
