Dog Meat

Eating dog has become less popular in Korea as more people keep dogs as pets.

Dog stew is a traditional Korean dish eaten on the hottest days of summer, but some Koreans want to change this. They say the dish leads to the inhumane treatment of dogs. Don't eat !

Cruelty to animals whether a dog or a pig must be stopped and modern slaughter method must be adopted. But as to which animals are considered food and which are not is something that we have to leave to the judgement of the People in that country. I used to despise dog eating but after looking closer at the subject it does make sense to accept that our culture is not the only one in this world. We must learn to leave people alone in their own domain.

If cruelty is the issue stiff slaughter rules should be the answer. A total ban on dog meat or any particular animal for that matter is a non siquitur.

What's the difference between pig, dog or cow other than human choices. Dogs are cute and chosen to be pets by some, they can be chosen to be food by others too. Just because they are cute doesn't mean they are higher than other animals. If millions of turkeys are slaughtered in USA on Thanks giving, why can't Koreans have dogmeat for summer.

I love animals too. thank god some people are trying to stop this from happenign in these countries. I hate the people that eat them and treat them so inhumanely. :( :( I hope someday all animals will live peacfully. :(

@LacyStockings yeah I agree..and i hate people too..most of them are cruel...I think about 95%...so bad it's not too much of people like us who love animals;(((
