A line dance choreographed by the delightful Anne Hogg from the Rotorua Marae Line Dancers in New Zealand. Cue sheet can be downloaded from http://www.cowboyculture.com.au/cue/line/StillGussinOn.pdf
Note from Anne ... "This dance is dedicated to the memory of my late partner and fellow line dancer, Gus Ratana, hence the Dance title. He was a prominent Maori cultural performer and entertainer, not only in Rotorua but throughout N.Z. and also abroad.
I have endeavoured to incorporate Maori cultural hand movements along with line dance steps. The main song "Maori Hangi" seems appropriate as Hangis were part of his Culture group's presentation to the public at large.
The song is sung by Lance "Kiwi" (appropriate surname) so everything about the dance just seemed to gel together so easily
