Frith visited SARC in May 2006 for the Sonorities Festival of Contemporary Music. With the Ulster Orchestra he gave the UK premiere of his piece Right Angel and performed an improvised set on guitar, with Chris Cutler on percussion.
In this section, he discusses: - his work with orchestras and the problems he has encountered with them; - differences between his compositional and improvisational techniques; - the influence of his studio work on his compositional techniques.
