Navy and marine racketeers want you to think the only way to deploy LCAC hovercraft at sea is by expensive amphibious ships with flooding well decks. The TRUTH is that EXISTING APA/MPF sealift ships can crane LCACs aboard and onto the water and their RO-RO ramps can be fitted with floating platforms so real U.S. Army maneuver combat power; light M113 Gavins, medium M2 Bradleys and heavy M1 Abrams tanks and their Soldiers can deploy ashore and maneuver with war-winning effect. The goal in war is to project DECISIVE COMBAT POWER but if we waste money on flooding well-deck ships that's money that will not go towards land power.
The enemy doesn't care and will target MSC ships as warships regardless so get over it.
Troops to operate tracked vehicles swimming themselves (AmphiGavins) or flying by helicopters (Gavins or AmphiGavins) for 3D maneuver or RO-ROing onto LCACs for 2D maneuver from MSC ships would live in ISO shipping container "BATTLEBOXes" with full living features built-in.
This is explained on the web page provided above and in more detail below:

There is no read for an ultra expensive amphibious Navy and incompetent marine corps that waddles ashore on foot and in wheeled trucks that gets itself killed in elegant fashion. What matters in war is VICTORY and its time we cut out the amphiboBS and start being more efficient.
Here's the deal, during the Clinton-era, we were sold this poisoned PC porridge that to be "professional" we must show no emotion. A total pile of crap. This is exactly the disarmament the bureaucracy wants as PASSION is our greatest weapon against them and their racketeering BS. Real professionals give-a-damn and put it all-on-the-line to SAVE LIVES who we should be very angry about losing them needlessly.
What I've learned in life is that RACKET THEORY is how humans behave. A "solution" that doesn't fully solve the problem but milks it indefinitely is what humans want over a full-solution that ends it.
The Navy/Mc never seem to have "enough sealift". I confronted the Commandant at a gathering of fellow USMC officers and he flat out told us that its a racket--they'd never keep old ships and use them less say in reserves and buy new ships so we GOT PROGRESS but would always throw away the old ship when the new ship arrives. The USMC doesn't want to fight; it wants to play that it does.
Along the way, I discovered that with the ACV-LAP attachment ALL RO-RO sealift ships could launch/recover LCAC hovercraft so they are now all capable of amphibious assaults!!
The USN/Mc racketeers don't want you to know their flooding wheel deck amphib ship racket is bogus.

or 70 tons of cargo, or with the personnel transport module, 180 marines.. at 50+ knots over water and land up to 180 miles, and what about the tsunami relief efforts, and the LCAC carrying red cross supplies to victims of hurricane Katrina, because the bays an inlets were too logged with debris for ships to come in. THe LCAC's ran right over the debris, no prob..

The point is to stop wasting LCACs on incompetent marines in trucks that get their asses kicked and use them with RO-RO sealift ships to deliver Army Soldiers in TRACKS that kick ass

Thanks for reminding us that its a marine M1 in the video; it proves our point visually that the USN/Mc are sitting on this technology.

The USMC wants to instead land footsloggers in trucks so they arrive 6 days late to Baghdads and Saddams can escape to start rebellions against us. Their greed and ego come before what's best for America.

The LCAC can only carry ONE 70-ton M1 Abrams heavy tank.

And the point is that U.S. ARMY ABRAMS TANKS CAN BE DELIVERED BY LCAC FROM SEALIFT SHIPS not expensive flooding well-deck amphib ships.
