For an increasingly ill man, he still had an utterly incredible voice! His voice is simply incomparable to anyone else, amazing.

Innuendo is a much better album that I ever thought it was, I've spent the last hour or so looking up the tracks on the album and then listening to them one by one here on youtube, and I gotta say I was really surprised, I wanna buy this album now

@spamhead2k Well, so far we've wasted 169 bullets on mindless, musically bereft and (tone?)-deaf pond life! That's the only reason I havent thumbs upped your dit mate! But i do take your point!

Possibly up there with the great Fred's greatest vocals on any queen song ever. And under rated (I think!) Queen song. To me, this is Somebody to Love grown up!! I would give it an award if it was down to me and, even if it isnt down to me, I've decided to give it my own award - as Queen fan from the 1st days of 'Keep yourself alive 'as a 13 year old boy!! Thanks fellow Queen nuts!!x

Freddie Mercury was indisputably one of the greatest singers every recorded, and anyone who believes otherwise would have to be tone deaf

@MasterPeanut94 Good point

@TheCryingMachineA show Was written about Freddie's musical genius as the focus, called Somebody To Love, by duPreez Strauss, a Julliard scholar, composer, conductor. He was so impressed by Freddie's complex style of writing & was intrigued by his unusual & fascinating compositions that he was inspired to do an entire show based on Freddie's writings.
Brian said even Bicycle Race had very complex chord structure. Bohemian Rhapsody has SIXTY CHORDS! A normal song has only 3!
FREDDIE=PURE GENIUS!

Nobody ever talks about Freddie Mercury's craftsmanship. He sure was the best singer and all, but GOD, there is SO MUCH to his musical genius that you could write a bible on his compositions.
His vocal arrangements here (mostly recorded by himself only) are way way way beyond what any other rock band could ever imagine. Pure musical genius.
