Once again we have recorded an obvious potential accident to happen.

It is heart wrenching that I am powerless to stop this vehicle.

I know eventually it will cause and accident when they hit a bump going 55 or 65 or 75 mph on the highway and it comes loose.

  • the saftey chains werent criss crossed. its amazing how few people cross the chains when towing... may as well not hook them up at all if you dont cross them

  • Any one with a little bit of brain would know thats not overloaded its just a drop hitch

  • If you have the correct side ball, it won't come loose. And the guy is using safety chains. This trailer was a bit low in the front, and that really isn't a good idea as this video shows, but like 03silvermustangGT said, just flip the hitch. That will get you a couple more inches of clearance right there.

  • if they hit a bump that fast that will cause the trailer to bottom out then thats the least of their worries...get a life and stop trying to point out the bad in everything

  • Not that bad just dragging the jack. Pronlem fix by flip hitch over

  • get a life

  • Low riders do more damage than that...

  • Trailer looks pretty close to level to me, Unless you know the Gross load weight of the hitch then how can you comment on it?

I believe in what your doing but from experience, A properly rated hitch and connection (chains) the worst that can happen is a worn or bent jack and some asphalt scaring. If anything is in question here, it is what are the specs of that set-up. I would say 6k-9k gross with 300-400 tongue. I have easily pulled 8k on a hitch with this design for years with no incident.

  • Turn the hitch receiver upside down, problem fixed..... So funny how people don't know they can simply turn it upside down.... It's still just as strong.

  • just like a low car going over some curbs... cruisin down the highway hits a bump and the car might fall apart... if a bump unhooks a trailer then shouldnt be hauling 1, let alone the idiot probably didnt jack it up enough so he'll be replacing one of those not before long or catch some roadkill for dinner ha.
