i totally agree, its riduculous that you need to pay for plug ins, but to be honest, it has alot over the itouch (though the itouch is still very nice) and i think that the A5 IT is very sexy :)

Just bought a new 500gb version and very impressed. Been buying Archos products for 7 or 8 years now and whilst they are never bug free they are great value for money and I still prefer to use their units over my 32gb iPhone. The screen is fantastic, bright very sharp and responsive. Certainly recommended and a relative bargain too! Next version? 128/256gb flash and a CAMERA!! Plus convince Skype to offer on Android and stop wasting their time with crappy Windows Mobile 6.5 variants.

I just bought the ARCHOS 5 Android 500Gb Internet Tablet... and it is definitely a great product... I am completely satisfied ... especially when I connect it to TV and I stream all contents from my laptop... nothing better than the ARCHOS... way to go... I'm looking forward to get the Archos 9 soon, only thing with the Archos 9 I won't be able to record off from TV... tnx Archos your the best...

the headbox dont work you have to press the shell to make it work every hour hanging Constant crashes (Do not wake up) always reset push button automatic standby after 20 min ,deathly! for me absolutely not usable Fm-Transmitter only usable with Headset Radio dont work good problems as an example Archos 605 WIFI Keep away of cheap Products :-( Dirty france Archos are cheaters and support are is unfriendly.bye bye Archos

It really looks and hears great like THE product I ever wanted and didn't get with the iPod Touch..

The problem with the market..

I mean as they said, a portable device is only good as it's connected to the internet, it is also only good if you have lots of GAMES and APPS for it - why can't you use the original market ?

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR FREE SOFTWARE ?

Possible the people of g4 tv dont download a new firware for the divice,the people of g4 likes apple ipods.I say this because i see here in youtube many independent reviews and the archos5(android )function well.

They could have easily put the android firmware on the archos 5 and made you feel like spending 350 beans was worth it. But instead they want you to spend another 350 for their new product which they say can do gps, radio, powerpoint files and so on. Look at the reviews online from g4tv they say that they weren't able to use most of the features promised and they state it crashed 3 times while trying to use the internet. They release these in a buggy state and promise to fix them with updates...
