i was the paraloft chief for this deployment. overall we dropped 435 CDS totaling over 760,000 pounds. i remember our first two ops we had an order for 64 bundles to be built for a drop in two days. at the time we only had 5 riggers including myself. needless to say they were ready to go after 40 hours of non stop rigging!!! then a day later they needed another 64 loads so we had to do it all over again! but it was all worth it knowing our brothers were getting the supplies they needed.

@bddblade : They (the press) think that this is some kind of game. We soldiers and Marines are just pawns in this game. Be safe out there. I have been there and done that only my trip was a bit better than what you are doing.

she doesnt know what shes talking about she probably got briefed on what to say by the paraloft chief hell she doesnt even have jump wings its the riggers like myself that build those. last time i checked we secure the CDS loads onto the plane and JAI them the air crew is just there hell we even cut them away and push them out for the drop. and it doesnt take brain surgery to type in some coordinates onto the CARP on a C 130 and then hit the green light
