Has anybody noticed how Friedberg and Seltzer always live up to their movie's titles? "Epic Movie" is an epic fail. "Disaster Movie" is a disaster. "Vampires Suck" sucks.

I think the most painful thing of all is that there are actually a good number of people in the world who think this poorly contrived mess that doesn't even try to be creative is actually funny. These are the people who just laugh at references for being there. It's like, yeah, there doesn't have to be any effort put into it and the creators don't actually have to have seen the films they're referencing. No, it's referenced and that's automatically funny to Seltzerberg fans.

And to add to your comment, at least Wood had some original ideas of his own. Friedberg and Seltzer don't even have those! They just look up random films from that year and have random, retarded characters run around and come across them. And occasionally, they don't even have enough creativity to think up a half-original plot. (ie, Epic Movie has the plot of Narnia, Meet the Spartans has the plot of 300, Vampires Suck has the plot of Twilight.

I think if you like watching a completely ridiculuose movie sometimes then this would actually be the one, but I do agree it lacks a lot of creativety.
