This video is very partisan. I'm an independent. You cite a long string of high profile spending items w/o acknowledging the need to keep them. We all agree w/ you. We need to cut spending. and if you want more taxes, cut loop holes, but if you raise mine, I'm going on strike and spending no more money supporting artists, carpenters, etc. ... and all my vacations will be international.

There are ways to raise the debt ceiling without this circus. There is NO risk of not raising the debt ceiling. Hold out for a clean bill that raises the debt ceiling without conditions. The entire debt ceiling "crisis" is manufactured. It is unprecedented in the recent history of congress. Pretending it is otherwise has not been helpful. Thank you for your words, but really there is nothing to compromise on here. Republicans are trying to hold America hostage. Don't let them succeed.

Thank you Senator Murray, please help us pull through this economic crisis. We just can't believe that people don't want to tax the multi-billionairs more, since they can deduct so much more than lower income workers. We need to support the veterans and seniors on social security. The Republicans just look out for what they can pull out for themselves and their rich buddies.

@AspenEmerald In a way social security is definutly a solicist program,, And yes I think the degenrats, and the 49 odd percent on food stamps and welfare should go to work or at the bare minium sterilized.

@doncarlsanders So, if you had your way, those who are severely disabled should be left to rot in the streets? Our grandparents, who have spent years paying for social security, which is an entitlement not welfare, should be allowed to suffer?

I'm glad i voted for you.My son is severely Disabled,and literally relent on SSI to survive.my mother is on local security,and relies on it to get by.the fact that the republicans are holding them hostage,and are willing to make them suffer to give tax cuts to billionaires sickens me.It will not be forgotten.
