"Marriage Hopes and Realities" tells the story of an LDS man married for 25 years, who also was a leader in the Evergreen support group. This video has been translated into Spanish with assistance from Affirmation.
As the 2nd part in a 3 part series, these films have been produced for the Mormon audience to gently educate them about homosexuality. These videos have been shown with wide acceptance among Bishops, Church members, therapists, PFLAG members from various religious backgrounds, as well as within the Mormon gay community.
This is a lesson to the LDS. Stay out of families business, you just make it worse. Let them live the life how God made them.

Russ Gorringe -- Ron D. here. How are you? It has been a long time since I spoke with you. I live in California now. I remember reading about you in the Deseret News when Prop 8 was raging, and see how your lifestyle is now. Hope you are well and happy and enjoying life. Jut wanted to drop a line. Take care, Ron

In my relationship with God have have learned that he is no respecter of persons (in other words, no exceptions will be made for me) and at the same time he is intimately concerned with my own salvation and ultimate happiness. Through experience I have learned that life is hard and at times can be hell, fortunately it can also be wonderful. This is an important discussion that deals with the plight on good individuals who want a place in their community. What change would you want to see?

if this is done by the mormon church then they must be smoking CRACK, because what is the message they are trying to tell us gays?
they are telling us don't marry the opposite sex if you are gay, but you cannot marry the same sex person you love either, MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MINDS.

From a business standpoint, aren't Mormons "working both sides of the room"? The Mormons take in money from Evergreen, but they also try to keep the life long gays as members with the kind of message in this video. Losing members means losing their tithe, right? That is not acceptable because it amounts to too much money, which the Mormons are not willing to give up.

they meant gays marrying straight to not be gay anymore--that those kinds of relationships only last months to years...not gay relationships lasting onlly that long

you have got to be kidding me "relationships only last months or years" many gays spend the rest of their lives together and are very happy. My family is mormon and I am gay. You have no idea what it is like and you cannot fix me. this makes me sick.

I think it's funny when people make the anti-gay argument that the world will diminish via decreased population. The world is dangerously over-populated, and gays consistently appear to make up 10% of all populations. This may be the answer God intended.

Sorry, but even if the entire human race were homosexual, there are still reproductive technologies. The species would not end.
You are officially an idiot.
