I personally don't like the idea of queen with a sound alike but, each to their own.


Video of Gary Mullen, in my opinion the best LIVE Freddie Mercury sound alike.
(I personally think he sounds like Freddie during the magic tour.)

I've only ever seen two really bad reviews about the One Night Of Queen show, one hilarious reviewer said,
"Gary Really disgraced Queen by not only having the mid-section of Bohemian Rhapsody on tape, but also leaving the stage. The show is nothing more than glorified karaoke"

This is EXACTLY what Queen do, everyone knows that.
My guess is the reviewer has never seen a Queen concert, in any form, whatsoever.

Martel is WAAAAY better. Everyone is astounded with how much he sounds like Mercury.

u forget bout 1 thing, bout Freddie's energy. martel got good voice, like Freddie's 1, but no such energy. he just stand cool thinking he is awesome w/ his voice. Garry got another voice but great energy. ppl are dancing on video rofl.

I wouldn't mind seeing them with a guy that sounded alot like Freddie but he shouldn't be copying his moves. Just be himself on stage.

You guys should look up Marc Martel. He beats this guy into the ground. Even Queen's drummer has said that Marc sounds and looks like Freddie.

@mgebi1 Actually, Gary's voice is a lot better now... this video was uploaded 4 years ago. And to say that Gary's voice her is superb, NOW it's just unbelievable.

And plus, when the members for Queen extravaganza were being chosen, Roger wasn't looking for people to replace Freddie or anyone else. Obviously Marc sounding a lot like Freddie helped him an awful lot, but Roger didn't chose him just for that reason.

Marc martell is much better. this guy does good stage performance but marcs voice is much better! I mean Queen band members chose Marc as the person to lead their own tribute band. That kind of ends the controversy. His own bandmates would be the better judge as they were there with Freddie. Marc is undeniably the better.
