Simple Mods to get a great sound out of the S60R

04 Volvo S60R Everything is Completely Stock, Except for my exhaust.
I did a simple mod of taking the sound insulator out of the engine bay, took off the cover to the intake and attached a bracket to keep the filter from falling out.
Its not a Blow off Valve but sounds close to it. what you are hearing is the CBV

sounds good ...but...you took off the hood insulator? it gets over 100 here in the summer im not sure i would do that on mine

@SisctEN9NE I've heard that too but I had it off for almost two years through the summer and winter and the paint on the hood never got affected. and it hits 100 a few times during the summer. but its all personal preference :D

The sound is actually the bypass valve (maybe thats what you mean by CBV), but all cars with turbos have one. The bypass opens when you let up on the throttle to keep a shock wave from going back up the intake system from the throttle body and damaging the blower. Opening up the intake is why you can hear it. Adding a cone filter to any turbo car will give you this sound. Sounds great BTW.

hey i have a question...to have a volvo make the sound of the BOV does the volvo come like that?? or do i need alot of money to put on the BOV? sorry but i want to buy a volvo, i have an acura, wayyy different than volvo

@messihardstyler No its actually the CBV valve thats already build on the turbo Most Borg Warner Turbos come with a build internal waste gate and with me taking off the intake cover box it freed up the air flow since its full recirculated and taking off the hood insulator amplified the sound.
