Battlestar Galactica's "Battlestar Sonatica" on piano (Gaius Baltar's theme)

Video of me playing Battlestar Sonatica from Battlestar Galactica earlier today. I know I am not perfect(I am not a machine or in this case a "cylon" hehe...) and I encourage anyone to play a better version than I did. Also excuse the mistakes and the cough.

I reckon this is a depressingly suiting piece for the impeding destruction and elimination of the human race by the cylons.(I know that doesn't happen)

In my opinion this piece is more challenging than Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

And Please don't ask me for sheet music. I can't send this individually to everyone.

If I didnt know better I would have thought this was Bear M. himself playing. Well done sir! It kind of reminds me of Phillip Glass but with more energy. Again - Well done!...

Oooh, every time I hear this piece on the show it really draws my attention. Fits very interestingly into the scenes it's used in as well.

Thanks for doing this - my favorite song from all of the BSG soundtracks - season 4 included. It is just such a haunting, etheral piece of music. Bear is genius.

Yeah - the bit between 1:45 and 3:45 is killing me (I came here to hear someone play it the right way since I've been very unkind to this piece, my piano, and my family's ears). It's at least recognizable when you play it, which is very helpful. Since this is a few years old, you've probably got it on autopilot by now. A few more weeks of cursing and crying, and maybe it'll be recognizable when I play it, too. Thanks for the help :)

Pretty good performance, but...for future reference, play with more ease and confidence. Let the music flow through you instead of just trying to remember the notes. There were no passionate swells or introspective silences, just a repeat of the piece--well played, but a repeat nonetheless.
