Thank you all for your wonderful comments. This is a great way to make a living, and we always try to do the music justice. After all, it's all about the music, isn't it??
@JHallia Ha! Maybe they should start playing with a Moody Blues tribute band or something. It's really cool that you got to play with these guys though! I mean, even if you aren't the one that people are watching(because of course, people are more focused on The Beatles than they are on the people in the orchestra) it's cool that you get to play music you like with really cool guys! I'd love to actually get to play with these guys!
I was lucky enough to play bass in the orchestra with them. It's a fantastic experience if you are a Beatles fan, some of my orchestra colleages were less thrilled with with the simple orchestra arrangements. I personally felt it was an awesome concert.
They're coming to our town next month, and I'm really interested in seeing them in concert (me being the huge Beatles fan that I am LOL). Is the sound in the live concert sort of the same as in this video, or is it a whole different experience altogether?
I saw them in St. Louis in 2006. This is the show that I imagine they would perform if John and George were still alive and The Beatles had gotten back together and were touring again.
I have seen CMT 3 times in Baltimoe with the BSO at the Meyerhoff. Never having seen the Beatles in person I might be missing something but I can't imagine what it would be. I love every song ever written by any of the Beatles and when you hear any of their songs done by this band with a symphony orchestra accompanying them it is like a live Beatles recording session- simply MAGNIFICENT!
And Oh yes there will be drugs!!
