PS22 Chorus "IT'S GONNA BE ME" 'N Sync (original NYC version!)

The PS22 Chorus was invited to sing at Tribute WTC 9/11 Family Center, the museum which pays homage to the heroes of September 11, 2001. We performed there on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, and the audience was moved to smiles and tears. It was an emotional experience, and we are proud and honored to have been asked to perform at the museum, as well as have our own September 11th video production featured as part of their children's exhibit.




The chorus concludes their performance with the 'N Sync song, "It's Gonna Be Me" rewritten for our Sep. 11 musical docu-drama as "We're N.Y.C.". The students rewrote the lyrics with me and I think they did a phenomenal job in creating an anthem for New York City.

It was excellently filmed by professional videographer Jonathan Rivera, uncle of Carmelo, the former chorus member (current headbanger!) who sang at the museum with us.

The PS22 Chorus is not a middle, junior high, or high school chorus. They are a group of extraordinary fifth graders from a public school in N.Y.C.. Click on the above link to visit our chorus' blog.

my dad died as a firefighter on sept 11 2001, he would love nothing more than to hear these kids singing. it's a perfect tribute to the heroes of 9/11, i'm sure my dad will be listening. you guys sure know how to brighten up a day i can't stop watching these videos :) much love xxx
