Santa Rosa's central square was created in the early 1850s. In 1966, it was cut in half to connect Mendocino and Santa Rosa avenues. By making the square whole again, adding functional, visually interesting structures, and providing more areas for exploration and entertainment, it will create a downtown activity hub that once again draws people and promotes a sense of community.
