Speed Run of Sega Master System Sonic the Hedgehog 1. Not a perfect run with a few flaws but it's not bad. It's on the 50hz version (PAL) if you are wondering why it's so slow. I recorded using VHS on my Master System 1 so it's not the best picture. It was recorded last August and I found the video last night. Might improve it one day then submit to SDA but for now enjoy!

I'm sure my version on a PAL system ran at nearer to NTSC speed. No way was the music that slow. Surely?

@97channel Nope, this is the speed all of the PAL nations had to suffer. I played this on my original PAL Master System with my original PAL game.

On the first level boss, if you time it perfectly, you can actually hit Robotnik whilst he is moving across the upper part of the screen. (Get a bit of speed with a run up if I recall) This can increase your speed at completing the level since you often only need to make contact once across the first or second cycle (preferably the first).
