E.ON turned OFF

Supported by the Rainbow Warrior, a hundred of our volunteer activists occupied the construction site of the new E.ON coal fired power plant in Rotterdam. They halted construction for 10 hours before they were all arrested by police. Special police cut their chains and neck locks and removed everyone from the site by the end of the day.

Het is ook allemaal verwarrend. Alleen voor mij persoonlijk: ik vertrouw E.ON niet. Ik kies voor greenchoice of eneco.

Heb je helemaal gelijk in. maar aan de andere kant is E.On druk bezig met nieuwe installaties die beter zijn voor het millieu, en met het bouwen van een gigantisch windmolenpark (Groene stroom!) Ik begrijp je helemaal, maar ik vind het jammer dat dat nooit vermeld wordt.

En nog iets. We kunnen in Nederland heel ver komen met echt groene energie. Dit zou toch geweldig zijn. Het kan niet in één keer, maar het kan wel sneller dan het de laatste jaren is gebeurd. Wind genoeg in Nederland.

Ja, ik begrijp dat het niet leuk is als mensen van hun werk gehouden worden. Maar ik denk soms dat dit even moet om mensen wakker te maken. E.ON is ondanks de molens een bedrijf die teveel vevuilt. Die informatie krijgen de meeste mensen niet te zien. Geld inzamelen is goed, maar het werkt vaak niet meer. Zover ik weet doet greenpeace acties zonder geweld.

maar zoals ik al eerder heb gezegd, ik vind het triest dat Greenpeace mensen van hun werk houd, en anderen weer aan het werk zet door de soort acties die ze houden. Iets vredelievender mag wel. ga lekker geld inzamelen ofzo. Mensen bij E-on kunnen urenlang overwerk plegen op hun vrije zaterdag, en wat dacht je van al die agenten die nodig waren? Zonde van je contributiegeld, dat allemaal opgaat aan boetes e.d.
