This is really, really amazing. I had chills all the way through, at the sheer purity of their harmony. Beautiful. This performance is the best choral performance I've seen yet.

Yep...they just added some lyrics (the opening and the stanza with the Chinese Gong....neither of which are in the original...but both of which fit perfectly.)

The growth of a theme...musically the "76 T-bones" arrangement is light years ahead of "Ashmoleons"...but 06 had better drill (from a marching standpoint) than 09...but the focus of the overall presentation seemed a bit different, so you really can't expect the same sort of drill.

Overall I find 09 superior to 06....a major improvement in the program in three years.

I never meant to imply one was superior to the other, only that it was unusal to have two winning themes in a competition based on marching. And I agree the 09' was the better of the two, both are great!
