what the hell??? you haven't seen my coating then. no machine could more consistent than I can. its all about technique . what a wast of money, time and space.
actually over history , there are many time saving inventions that are worth the investmestment , But to me this just ain't one of them, and so to bad to the Company's that actually invested in this thing / and Bravo to the salesman that presented it to any one of thousand's of high-end printing company's like my Co. that actually bought one .... LOL
I would have to agree w/ you....any profit that could potentially made on the 4 color process job would straight out the window w/ that contraption. IMO, it comes down to not only getting a good coat, but also the prep of the screen......I coat by hand and have NEVER had a problem w/ consistency.
it seems like overkill / mounting the screen in that contraption then removing it. forget that We are way to busy, I can coat manually way faster and be done with that step. I would challenge anyone operating that thing to a race. when you have stacks of artwork to expose, you got-to-GO GO GO!
