Watch five of the top blacksmiths' in the world go head to head in an hour heat where they have to trim two feet, build two shoes, nail and finish, and go through the judges gauntlet twice all in an hour. Outstanding. Congratulations to the top five. Job well done.

@gsxrbuckeye The fact that they've been shoe'd so many times that they're used to it. I don't know if they use them in competition but there are setups for problem horses so they can tie their hooves in place.

It really annoys me when people are like my farrier is ‘world champion’ there isn’t a difference in the quality of shoeing if you have a good farrier, with or without the title.. The only difference is that once charges treble the price.

I enjoyed watching this comp as 2 Welsh men were in the finals... I was lucky enough to be given a half prepared shoe made by Billy one of the Welsh finalists. Well done boys just sorry it wasn't one of you that got the Championship. Jan Eberg.
