@CeruleanFilms I tell you Robert E. Lee would hit the Like button if he was here today because he was proud of all soldiers no matter what color or side, as most men that fought he respected the other side and they respected him.

This is truly the most beautiful and, haunting piece of music I've truly ever heard.

we watched this movie in Middle School during our Civil War studies...as a kid I never appreciated it (and I admit I fell asleep during it), but having grown up and watching this movie I love this film
the part at 2:02 when the epilogue comes on screen sends shivers down my spine.

For being one of the most critical times in the history of the country, it is truly sad that most americans forget the causes of the war, forget the fact that we are all truly human, and that we all deserve to be respected for our abilities, not what we look like or how we talk.
