Western District Athletic Club Medley Relay Record 2004

In March 2004 Western District represented SA in the national club championship in Canberra. It was Westerns' first time at the national club champs. After winning the first event - the 4 x 100m in club record time, Westerns did very well in the track events but ultimately fell short due to its lack of field event athletes.
The final event was the Medley Relay (200, 200, 400, 800).

The team of Mark Faulkner, Leon Burckhardt, Chris Burckhardt and Hayden Cook smashed the club record in finishing 2nd to the powerful University of Queensland team.

This video features Fuzzy Faulkner, Leapin Leon, Chris the Hulk, Hicham Cook, Reckless Rhett, Start Stevenson, Danny Knowles, Jarrod Stevens and Aaron Toon. The tenth member of the team was high jumper/hurdler James Baumeister.
