i have a portable 12volt camping shower on youtube works great 20 litres gets you a 6 minute shower with high pressure makes a big difference to a camping trip

NICE! i'm building a very similar setup - thinking of using 268 GPH AC pump (meant for aquariums or waterfalls) that hooks into a generator (also attend annual camping events where this kind of infrastructure is normal). just need to figure out a safe way to wire and ground this stuff, as well as some sort of inline heater for night showers.

You should consider selling these. For those starting out or building their own tiny houses could use this if only for a temporary solution until they can put in a permanent shower.

My family does a yearly 4 day camping trip, and we were talking about making camp shower. I said to them that a rule bilge pump(without float) and a 2 way waterproof switch would work. As long as we have a water source. Then I came across your video. I like your ingenuity! Very well done! i am planning on using some of your ideas, but with a few modifcations. Thanks fo posting

@omaharcflyer -- Sorry about that... didn't mean to hate. It is inventive and I like it. And, you are right.... my point is more for hiking or a very minimalist approach. Considering that you have the battery on-hand anyway, I guess it's no big thing. I was just imagining lugging that battery around and didn't really think about this in other applications like what you are describing.

@wizardofaus18 Yeh he was on one of his low budget films, this was a snippet from behind the scenes!!lol
-- I hate to say, but this violates the K.I.S.S. rule... why not just hang a solar shower bag or a bucket up above your head and then use gravity to do the work for you? Not only is it free, but it is a lot lighter and less bulky compared to lugging around a battery and all of that other stuff (even if it does fit in a bucket). Actually, it says "neatly stores in bucket", but where is the battery? ... I guess I am saying that this is cool from a technical standpoint, but it's not very practical.

I didn't build it for your average camping trip. I built it for an Annual event I attend, where I have the Battery on hand for other reasons. The K.I.S.S. rule would make more since if I were out hiking. I enjoy tinkering, and after seeing what others had done on Youtube for camp showers, and the poor results from the Zodiac brand, I decided to do this. Minus the battery, the set-up is very light. I will be taking it with me on some Motorcycle camping trips in the future.

Maybe Shock Camp Shower??

@BLANKNOTING
No chance of getting shocked. The wiring, switch, and connections are waterproof, and the battery sits on a bucket outside of the shower in a marine type battery box. I have used it several times with this set-up with no problems.
