@speakeasynyc Koop is an electronic jazz duo from Sweden, consisting of Magnus Zingmark and Oscar Simonsson. Their orchestrated sound is achieved by slowly putting together thousands of small clips from records until the songs are ready, which helps explain the long time it takes to make a Koop album. Vocals for Jellyfishes is Cecilia "Astrid" Stalin.

@elizabethfaraone i'm not sure which recording in particular, but if you listen to the very start of the first movement you can hear the part that I'm talking about. the trill on the second note is a dead giveaway. /watch?v=Vf0e_n49dcQ

@yakmathroob Koop Do tell - what recording of Stravinsky's Rite of Spring was this section taken from? Waltz for Koop has the repeated theme from John Coltrane's Christmas song, Greensleeves. I love it when we recognize the recording.
