ScrafFD's triple monitor setup. Affordable, much cheaper than one would expect and why.
A description of what kind of computer it is, and what FPS I achieve in rFactor.

  • This isn't SLi, it was just one videocard rendering the whole 3 screens. Second videocard is just used to output.

  • @ScrafFD0 dam ur lucky, my dam high end dell rig wont let me run sli. its stupid

  • I forgot to mention, I have upgraded the computer since this video was made. My current specs are:

    3 20" 16:10 LCD's

    nVidia GeForce 9800GT

    nVidia GeForce 8800GTS OC <--PRIMARY

    eVGA nForce 750i SLI

    4GB DDR2 800mhz RAM

    Core 2 Duo E8400

I get average 60-70FPS. If I turn off AA, I can get 100FPS.

  • I am not using Multiview. I had a hard time getting it to work properly. It's stated in the manual for rFactor that the monitors should be angled (FOV / 2), but I tried that and it honestly makes me a tad ill, so I will take the fisheye effect over that any day of the week. I am currently using SoftTH 1.9 using CUDA, and Multihead. While I can't post the entire settings here, I can always email you them. I am running 5400x1050x32, everything cranked, AA., AF, all settings in rFactor.

  • Also are you using multiview?

  • what video settings u using?

512mb hd4850 cant support my 3 monitors at a decent res.

    what softh settings?

  • No, this is strictly one videocard rendering the whole huge resolution, 5400x1050. The other videocard is there for output purposes only.

This is not running SLI, nor ATI's crossfire.

  • Nope, one in the PCI express 16x slot, I believe, the other in the other PCI express which was I believe running at 1x.

  • Would you hook up the sli bridge between the two video cards? Plz Reply

  • No, I have an SLi board. Two PCI-Express slots.
