NPT: Next Door Neighbors - Somali

The second in Nashville Public Television's Next Door Neighbors documentary series, focusing on Nashville's growing Somali community. Over 5,000 Somali refugees now call Nashville their home. They left a war-torn country and many still have family trying to survive in Somalia and in refugee camps across Kenya, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Yemen, and other countries. While many Somalis were resettled directly to Nashville, others migrated here from cities like Minneapolis, Seattle, San Diego and Columbus Ohio. For most, life in Nashville is about work, sending money back home and trying to balance Somali traditions and cultures while adjusting to life in the US.

We do have some dispute going on within Islam but we the muslims care for all of humanity thats why we love for anyone who is not muslim to join us in living under the law of Allah as Allah is the God of all of creation not just the muslims. If you love your neighbor you wont the best for them and the best is Islam. Violence is inevitable when the cause is greater sometimes it might even be justified. ethiopia and somali never had a religious conquest and we remain muslims +1400yr

I could provide you with specific examples, but I think it should suffice to ask yourself: "How could Islam become a major world religion without the use of violence?" The Ottomans invaded Europe SEVERAL times, pillaging cities the size of Vienna. Muslims are so peaceful that their individual denominations, including shia and Sunnis, have resorted to murdering each other.
