This is an inside look of the WMSTR Briden-Roen Sawmill located in Rollag, MN with a heavy emphasis on the engines. One of the finest examples of a true, 100% steam powered sawmills left in america. In this video, it is being powered by the only original Case 110HP skid engine known to be left in existence, a Case 80HP skid engine and a 110HP traction engine. During this period of time, the saw load fell on the traction engine. This sawmill has redundancy built in such a way that it could loose one of the engines and still keep sawing by putting the load on the other two. Throughout the show, the 110 traction engine was pulled out and replaced by other engines to run the mill, including at one point, the 40-72 Cross Mount Case.
Great video. Neat to see all the little details up close.

Do they ever operate without the announcer talking?

Very impressive mill, what you'd expect at Rollag. Maybe someday!
