Civil society groups took to the streets of Nairobi and Mombasa in peaceful demonstrations to protest the high cost of living. The protests went ahead despite government move on Monday to reduce excise duty on kerosene and diesel. And as Sheila Sendeyo reports, the protests may just be the beginning of more to come after the central organization of trade unions, COTU, issued a 12 day ultimatum for the govt to act or face nationwide mass action.
As much as i sympathize ...this is not the right approach...u can protest but don't be physical with anyone....hata kama ni mbunge....pushing them....blocking traffic etc does nothing to further your agenda if anything it makes it worse.....so i say please keep protesting but be calm, orderly and yes am with atwoli down your tools people...let everyone feel the impact ...including those wakubwas
