I shook my head as my eyes returned to the couple at the fountain.Just in time,the guy kneeled down onto one knee and two seconds later-she squealed with obvious delight.I rolled my eyes.Stupid love.
My pocket vibrated and I snapped it open.
"Hello?"I tried my best not to sound stuffy.
"Demi?It's Chelsea,where are you?!"she said obviously concerned.
"No where important.Why?"
"Demi,I know what happened!And let me tell you something,Joe would never ever do something like that!"her defending him only made it worse.
"Leave me alone,I need this!"I shut my phone and hugged my knees.I didn't wanna go back,but I had no other choice.School was a major part in my life right now and I was not going to give it up to a boy.Sheesh.
~With Joe~
Chelsea-You idiot!*slapped him*Why?!
Joe-She kissed me I swear!*Holding his cheek*
Chelsea-I know that!What I am refering to is that why couldn't you hold her off longer?Then Demi would have walked in and NOT seen her ontop of you!
Joe-I didn't even know she'd come back!I'd thought she'd left for good after the modeling agent signed her on.
Chelsea-Well,it was wrong.*Takes out her cell phone*I'm leaving because I have tons of homework.Make sure Demi calls me when she gets back,ok?
Joe-Yes,mother.*groans*
Cheslea-Good to know.*Smiles then leaves*
**15 minutes later**
~Joe's POV~
It felt as if I'd waited an eternity for her to come back into our room.I sighed as she ignored me and shut the bathroom door.Nice,that hurt.
"Demi..."I whispered when she came out fully dressed for bed."I'm sorry..."
"No.Don't be.we weren't anything special,so why should I care if you moved on?"It felt like my heart just got shattered.
"Don't say that,what,what happened earlier with Amelia wasn't me.It was all her,she practically jumped me."my voice was turning rather husky."I'm sorry if you thought I didn't like you because Demi,the plain truth is that...I well..."I didn't want to freak her out by saying that I loved her,it was too soon."Really really like you.Please?Give me another shot to prove that to you."I begged.
She took a deep breathe."No.I'm sorry."and that was it.That one,two lettered word was all it took to rip my heart out and burn it.Then shove it onto a plate and slice it into perfect diamond shapes and eat it.Yep,it hurt that much.I clutched my chest and walked into the bathroom,wishing it had been a cave instead.I felt empty.Totally empty,all for that small speck of hope that gleamed in her eyes.That there made me want to try and win her again.And so my task began,the one where I was to get Demi to like me all over again.
~One week later in homeroom/Regular POV~
Mr.Bob-*monotone voice*And remember class,this Saturday is the dance,wear something appropriate*Looks at Brenda*Brenda.
Class-*Laugh*
Brenda-*Rolls her eyes*Immature people.Humph,
Mr.Bob-Get to work!*Slaps his ruler on his desk causing a loud snap*
Class-*Get to work kinda scared*
Joe-*Turns to Demi*Demi?
Demi-What?*Looks at him*
