why overrated? i think you have a problem with race not the actual inventions. and dont mix islam with persias ancient history.. persia has not always been muslim. but you are right alot of the science men were muslims but for example khayam he was very important and he influenced maths a lot and he hated religion. i mean persians invented a lot and it was becouse of their knowledge and not religion.

@Parspilot, you are soo correct. Small minded foreigners can't wrap their heads around the fact that Iran was a great nation for thousands of years before Islam was even born. Persia had a great and wonderful history long before the mullahs imposed Islam on the country.

It was a wonderous sight as the rest of Iran was twice. Persian culture existed long before any of our western cultures were even starting. Show the same kind of respect for them as you want them to respect you.
