This is what Maddy does right before she has to pee. It helps with EC in that I can get her over something in time to catch it. This is communication.

I'd never heard of EC before I saw this. She'll be a toddler now, was potty training easy with her?

@TheLeggyredhead She never had to be "trained", it was just something that she always did. I never had to use stickers or beg and plead. It was just a normal thing, like as an adult you dont think twice about using a toilet. You just do.

She also wiped on her own as soon as she could. She naturally wanted to be clean and so made sure of it on her own. (Although I did check when she was still young - about a year or so)

Are you telling me that your child sits around without a diaper all day long just so you can snap him up at the first sign of discomfort and rush over to the toilet seat? Someone has way too much time on their hands. I feel sorry for you. You probably don't get out much, do you?

Actually I get out often. I just use fewer diapers then many people who train their babies to sit in thier own waste. It takes little time to potty and wipe, actually much less then changing a diaper. And she rarely has to go through sitting in a poopy diaper, I've only changed 3 in 5 months.

This is so basic. Most people overlook babies when they're fussy like this...that's what this culture has taught us to do. It's great to be able to tune into your child and determine when they need to be relieved. Thanks for sharing!

I have just began to understand what EC is, and the more I think about it...it sounds great! I mean, if you dont want to sit around in your own urine and feces, why would a baby? I'll have to pick up a book about it next time I'm in a bookstore or library. thanx for sharing you video!

It's pretty easy to do this. And clean, money-saving, enviromentfriendly. People have been doing this with their children as long as they've lived on earth. Only we who can afford disposals have forgotten about it. Sadly there is no money to earn from it so it does not get promotion like pampers.
