***NOTE*** I DON'T OWN ANY OF THIS MUSIC

Please forgive me, I know a lot of bands shouldn't have been on here. I was in like seventh grade and only had a slight clue on what grunge music was. Considering I screwed up I'm going to try to not argue with anyone unless I really feel the need to. But if you're not a cry baby and you understand screw up I thank you! :)

  • I don't see why everyone is like of course nirvana the reason why there always first is because they were a break through every nirvana song is unique in it's own way the sound of nirvana is incredible I hear sounds of punk psycadelic alt rock some country influence(like Johnny cash stuff) I think they deserve number one no other band will have their sound

  • @blacktittymilk Thank god someone agrees with me and actually has a logical explanation why they think Nirvana is #1.

  • There's really 2 kind of grunge band definitions, the original technical actually from seattle and the bands that occurred around the same time from other cities. The latter is not as raw but has the same loudness and persona and would still be considered "grunge" to anybody not interested in the genre. Everything else is post-grunge soon after.

(p.s. music died after 2000 emocore/metalcore suck dick!)

  • @zeroair4 I agree with some of what you said but metalcore doesn't suck. A lot of bands suck in the genre but they are bands that are great. August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, blessthefall, and Of Mice & Men are great metalcore bands. Also, don't get metalcore confused with death metal. Because a lot of people think that just because there's screaming it's death metal. Death metal is grunting garbage and metalcore is screamed vocals. Difference.

  • RATM grunge? pfffft.. I just stopped the whole video ! bye

  • @deftonesfreak Bye. :)

  • I think what everyone is missing is how much better these band were than what we had grown up with. There was definitely an explosion of creativity following the hollow years of hair bands. I think the music scene grew up at the same time we did. I still think the late 60's was the best time for American music (Motown, LA, NY). They were oldies by the time we had enough $ to invest in music. I still love the hair bands though.

  • FUcK YOooooooooooiuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!

  • If Nirvana wasn't number 1..... Oh man

  • How can you make a 30 greatest "grunge" bands list when there was hardly 3 real "grunge" bands. Your a fucking idiot

  • shit sandwhitch

  • Hmmm...Wikipedia's grunge page only has 30 bands listed as grunge...

  • @Nirvana4554 You forgot about The Wipers. Greg Sage was like the godfather of grunge.

  • Pearl Jam <3

  • Nirvana is so over rated.
