Rats Enjoying Pea Fishing

It's summer, so... it's pea fishing time!

Lobo - white (slight bit of grey on his head)
Locke - Lobo's brother, hooded rat.
Jay - Brother of Benji, siamese smooth coated

So cute! :D My late great boys Blueberry & Jellybean loved pea fishing! Except I did it when they had cage-free playtimes in my bathroom. I'd fill a Pyrex pie plate w/ water & put the peas in, so the boys had to wade into the water. (I typically did that in the summer to help them cool off). If they ate too many peas, tho, they got loose stools. :/ Did your kids? BTW, the rat next to the gray dumbo totally reminds me of a squirrel the way it's sitting & eating!! *giggle*

@scaryshari Aww :D In the summer I'll definitely have to try a wade-in approach to pea fishing. I never noticed mine getting loose stools from eating too many, not sure XD

btw, since my 4 weeks old rat is so energetic, can he go pea fishing, like can he do it now, or i have t wait till he's fully grown, he's 4 or 5 weeks old i think, or maybe 6

@Music4Hearing They can learn pea fishing at any age, give it a go :D He might take a while to learn what to do but they soon pick it up :) Might be easier to give him a shallow dish of water with lots of peas in at first.

@WolfySilver are you sure? my rat is only like 2 inches big, or maybe even smaller.. he's so cute how he's sleeping now, should i get him 3 friends his same gender? if so, ill get it by tommarow. so yeah,. i thought of it... and i will, i just need to get my mom to give me some, she really doesnt like my rat.. lol! XD kk ty

@Music4Hearing It's always best to have more than one rat because they can keep each other entertained when you're not there. It might take him a little time to learn what to do with pea fishing, my recent youngest boys didn't have a clue at first but they could copy from my older ones. Try letting him see you take a pea out and give it him? Just give him time, he'll figure it out :D

i need help i have one rat a female 8 months old i want to get another female but i don't want them to fight i would of adopted her brother or sister but she was alone when i adopted her what should i do?
