People that don't realize that a female's milk glands are activated by pregnancy, not just with humans, but the rest of mammals too, need to have a few lessons in animal husbandry before buying a goat. If people are making such a purchase for a bug out retreat, that sort of logic disconnect /will/ get them killed. Lack of knowledge equates to deserving to die from a Darwinian survival model. But, of course, our friend dsarti1 says such things all the time as a form of humor. :)

I do have a legitimate question though.

When the mother gives birth, is it a more viable option to keep the offspring as future breeding stock to better expand my business or is it better to just sell them to the public and make a quick profit? I admit I'm not familiar with raising milk goats but I'm just curious.
